Admission to the budgeted places

Admission and enrollment of citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA) and the Swiss Confederation to the places financed by the Romanian state

  1. Citizens of the EU, EEA and the Swiss Confederation may participate in the entrance exam, organised in July, which grants access to the budgeted places, in the same legal conditions as Romanian citizens (including their tuition fees), according to the following requirements:
  • Romanian citizens, citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries who have a Romanian high-school diploma will follow the Admission requirements established by the Senate of the university. The admission requirements will be posted on the Romanian page of our website, under the label “Admitere”;
  • Romanian citizens, citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries who have a high-school diploma obtained in an EU country other than Romania, have to have their diplomas validated by the National Centre for the Validation and Recognition of Diplomas of the Romanian Ministry for Education, Research, Sports and Youth (for details, please access www.cnred.edu.ro ). The files of these applicants have to be checked by the International Office before being submitted to the respective faculties. Only those candidates who have obtained the validation of their high-school diploma from the Ministry of Education are allowed to participate in the exam.
  •  Romanian citizens, citizens of the European Union, of the Swiss Confederation and of the EEA countries who have a high-school diploma obtained in a non-EU country, have to obtain a GRADUATION CERTIFICATE issued by the National Centre for the Validation and Recognition of Diplomas of the Romanian Ministry for Education, Research, Sports and Youth (for details, please access www.cnred.edu.ro ). The files of these applicants have to be checked by the International Office before being submitted to the respective faculties. Only those candidates who have obtained the graduation certificate from the Ministry of Education are allowed to participate in the exam.
  • Should there remain places following the entrance exam of July, a second entrance exam will be organised, in the same conditions as the first one, at a date that will be posted on our website.

 

THE LANGUAGE OF THE ENTRANCE EXAM IS ROMANIAN
Candidates who cannot formally prove that they have studied for 4 consecutive years IN Romanian, must obtain a language certificate issued by the Language Department of the West University, Timisoara, PRIOR to the exam.
